By the mid 90’s however, was when he started to play supporting cast characters such as Dee Jay in Street Fighter and Bugs in Hard Vice (both in 1994).
His first acting role was in the comedy What's Happening , which he got after he met actor Ernest Thomas. Then his career started to go up over the years with appearances in many movies including the starring role in the 2002 Warner Brothers movie Juwanna Mann . His television credits include the co-starring role of Detective Sam Sullivan in the TV series Tarzan as well as guest roles in shows including
Bernie Mac , My Wife & Kids and Boomtown . Miguel has also served as co-writer and co-producer in the 1996 film Homeboys in Outer Space .
